Our mission at Mosaic is to make healthy, committed disciples of Jesus Christ, first locally, then globally

...that the world might know that Jesus Christ is Lord.

“If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

We believe God not only hears and answers prayer, but has called His church to be a place of prayer (Mark 11:17). Prayer is the cornerstone of our relationship with God and the foundation of our work as a church.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. … Whatever you did for one of the least of these, you did for me.” (Mt. 25:35-36, 40)

We believe God has given each of us unique gifts for ministry and we will find our fulfillment as we use these gifts in compassionate ways. We expect every member of Mosaic to release these spiritual gifts and to use them in service to others.
“The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.” (Deuteronomy 6:5)

We believe humans beings were created to worship God. We worship God the Father because he created us; we worship God the Son because through the cross He redeemed us from our brokenness; we worship God the Holy Spirit because He guides us to live well and with joy.
“Just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do.” (1 Peter 1:15)

We believe God’s design for humanity is holy living – the kind of living that bears the fruit of mercy, justice and humility (Micah 6:8). We embrace worship, Bible study, prayer, baptism, communion and tithing as means of grace pleasing to God which foster the holy life.
“How can I [understand] unless someone guides me?” (Acts 8:31)

We believe God has called His people to go out into the world to make disciples (Mt. 28:19). Our work as a church is to tell the story of Christ by preaching and teaching the scriptures to those who do not yet have a relationship with Him.
“I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: ‘Salvation belongs to our God!’” (Revelation 7:9-10)

We believe God’s divine community, when it is realized on earth (Mt. 6:10), will reach across boundaries of race, class, and nationality. Because these are God’s values, they are ours, too, and we will intentionally work to be a multiethnic community of faith.

Values are where we spend our time and energy.  They are the non-negotiables—the foundation on which a community is built.  These are the values of Mosaic.
